If necessary, our staff will apply anesthetic and take a very small biopsy or biopsies to send to Union General Hospital pathology department for analysis.  UGH pathology will  determine whether a second opinion from a dermatologic pathologist is advised.  Patients should expect separate billing for pathology services including billing that may be out of network for insurance.

Our patients are notified by telephone as soon as we have results for any biopsies.
